Amy Wilson is an active conductor who has led orchestras in the United States, Mexico, and Europe. Currently she is Apprentice Conductor of the Macon Symphony Orchestra and Conductor of the Mercer / Macon Symphony Youth Orchestra. She earned degrees from the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music and the University of North Texas, in clarinet and orchestral conducting respectively.
Currently she is completing a second Master of Music degree at Mercer University in Orchestral Conducting. Her conducting teachers have included world renowned maestri such as Adrian Gnam, Gustav Meier, Anshel Brusilow, and Jesus López-Cobos. In 2005 she attended the International Conductors' Workshop in Macon, GA; where she won the opportunity to guest conduct the Macon Symphony Orchestra on one of the Young People's Concerts.
