String Development Program
This program is a source of scholarship support for deserving, young string musicians. Scholarships are awarded based on need and talent.
Georgann Blum Scholarship Fund
This scholarship was named to honor Georgann for her many years of work as chairman of the Youth Activities Committee. The named scholarship was created to raise funds to support string development, paying for private lessons. Please call 478-301-5503 to learn more about how you can enhance the musical education of an aspiring young musician.
Artists in the Classroom String Development Program
A string trio travels to all of the elementary schools in Bibb County and presents instructional programs about the string family instruments. The trio covers half of the schools one year, and then the other half the next year.
Concerto Competitions Each year the MSO holds two concerto competitions, one for high school and one for college students. The winners of both competitions receive a scholarship provided by Georgia Music and the opportunity to perform their concerto with the MSO. Call 478-301-5300 for audition requirements and guidelines. |
